There are so many different drinks available now that it is confusing to know what to choose. One of the easiest ways to discover which the best quality wines are is to find reviews. That means you will have some inclination of the flavour of wine it is as well as the quality of the wine. Recommendations are really a great way of discovering excellent wines.
I did always drink cocktails and have a tasty Ohranj Julius recipe which I used to make. Even the most elaborate cocktails are actually easy to make. For example, the Ohranj Julius recipe includes only these ingredients:
1/2 oz Stoli® Ohranj vodka
1/2 oz triple sec
1/2 oz sweet and sour mix
1/2 oz orange juice
Cocktails are a lot of fun to have at a party or at a hip bar but they sure can be expensive! Even during happy hour, you can often break the budget by having a couple of cocktails. So nowadays, more often than not I will drink rose wine or champagne. I have educated myself on the best organic wines available and believe that drinking wine over cocktails generally means I get a tasty drink which is most probably better for me and with fewer calories.
Whenever possible I prefer to order Australian organic wine or no added preservative wine. I adore French wines but am willing to try anything. I have happily tried wines from South Africa before and they have been some of the best wines I have ever had. It is not often a good idea to judge a wine based on the location where it is made, you can be shocked at the quality of wines grown in regions not known for wine production.
There are many sites where you can find wine reviews to allow you to make the best choice in wine. Whether you prefer red or sparkling wine, you can find recent reviews online. I tend to read wine social media sites because you can then get almost instant comments on the wine you are contemplating drinking.
If you are interested in organic wines then check out Treehugger for information on how buying organic produce is less harmful for the environment. Wikipedia also has some good articles on organic farming and organic food and wine.
