There are plenty of different drinks available now that it is confusing to know what to choose. One of the best ways to know which the best wines are is to find reviews. At least that way you will have some inclination of the flavour of wine it is as well as the quality of the wine. Reviews are really a great way of discovering great wines.

I used to mostly drink cocktails and have a tasty Old-Fashioned Cocktail recipe which I used to mix. Even the most detailed cocktails are actually easy to make. As an example, the Old-Fashioned Cocktail recipe uses the following ingredients:

2 oz blended whiskey
1 sugar cube
1 dash bitters
1 slice lemon
1 cherry
1 slice orange

Cocktails are cool to have at a party or at a cool/trendy bar but they sure are expensive! Even during discount times, you can often break a budget by consuming a few cocktails. So nowadays, more often than not I will stick to red wine or champagne. I have discovered which are the best organic wines available and know that drinking wine over cocktails means I get a great drink which is most probably better for me and with fewer calories.

Whenever I can I prefer to buy organic wine or low sulphate wine. I adore Australian wines but am willing to try anything. I have even tried wines from Argentina before and they have been some of the best wines I have ever had. It is not necessarily a good idea to choose a wine based on the country where it is produced, you can be amazed at the quality of wines produced in areas not known for wine production.

There are many websites where you can find wine recommendations to enable you to make a reliable choice in wine. Whether you prefer red or sparkling wine, you can find the latest reviews online. I like to read wine blogs because you can then get immediate comments on the wine you are considering drinking.
