There are so many different alcoholic drinks available now that it is not easy to know what to choose. One of the easiest ways to know which the best quality wines are is to read reviews. At least that way you will have some knowledge of the kind of wine it is as well as the quality of the wine. Others opinions are really a great way of discovering great wines.
I would always drink cocktails and have a good Perfect Lady recipe which I used to make up. Even the most detailed cocktails are actually easy to make. For example, the Perfect Lady recipe consists of these ingredients:
1 oz gin
1/2 oz peach brandy
1/2 oz lemon juice
1 oz egg white
Cocktails are cool to have at a party or at a cool bar but they sure are very expensive! Even during discount times, you can often break your budget by consuming a couple of cocktails. So nowadays, more often than not I will choose rose wine or champagne. I have educated myself on the best organic wines available and know that drinking wine over cocktails means I get a tasty drink which is most likely better for me and with fewer calories.
Whenever I can I prefer to drink organic wine or preservative free wine. I adore American wines but am willing to try anything. I have even tried wines from South Africa before and they have been some of the best wines I have ever had. It is not often a good idea to choose a wine based on the country where it is made, you can be shocked at the quality of wines produced in countries not known for wine production.
There are many websites where you can find wine recommendations to help you make a reliable choice in wine. Whether you prefer red or sparkling wine, you can find many reviews online. I like to read wine social media sites because you can then get fairly instant comments on the wine you are thinking of buying.
