There are many different alcoholic drinks available in the shops that it is difficult to know what to get. One of the easiest ways to discover which the best quality wines are is to check out reviews. At least that way you will have some idea of the type of wine it is as well as the quality of the wine. Others opinions are really the best way of discovering delicious wines.
I would always drink cocktails and have a good Plank Walker recipe which I used to make. Even the most elaborate cocktails are actually easy to make. For example, the Plank Walker recipe consists of these ingredients:
1 1/2 oz Johnnie Walker® Scotch whisky
1/2 oz rosso vermouth
1/2 oz Yellow Chartreuse®
Cocktails are a lot of fun to have at a party or at a hip bar but they sure are expensive! Even during happy hour, you can easily break a budget by consuming some cocktails. So these days, more often than not I will stick to white wine or champagne. I have discovered which are the best organic wines available and believe that drinking wine over cocktails generally means I get a great drink which is most probably healthier and with fewer calories.
Whenever I can I prefer to order organic wine or preservative free wine. I love Australian wines but am happy to try anything. I have also tried wines from South Africa before and they have been some of the best wines I have ever had. It is not often a good idea to judge a wine based on the country where it is made, you can be surprised at the quality of wines grown in areas not known for wine production.
There are many sites where you can find wine recommendations to help you make a reliable choice in wine. Whether you prefer rose or sparkling wine, you can find many reviews online. I prefer to read wine forums because you can then get immediate opinions on the wine you are considering drinking.
