There are plenty of different alcoholic drinks available in the shops that it is difficult to know what to choose. One of the easiest ways to discover which the best value for money wines are is to read reviews. At least that way you will have some idea of the kind of wine it is as well as the quality of the wine. Reviews are really the best way of finding great wines.
I would mostly drink cocktails and have a tasty Porto Flip recipe which I used to make. Even the most seemingly difficult cocktails are actually easy to make. For example, the Porto Flip recipe consists of the following ingredients:
1/4 oz brandy
1 1/2 oz ruby port
3/4 oz cream
1/2 tsp powdered sugar
1 egg yolk
1 pinch nutmeg
Cocktails are a lot of fun to have at a party or at a cool bar but they sure are very expensive! Even during specials, you can easily break the budget by drinking a few cocktails. So these days, more often than not I will choose red wine or champagne. I have discovered which are the best organic wines available and accept that drinking wine over cocktails will mean I get a delicious drink which is probably much healthier and with fewer calories.
Whenever I have a choice I prefer to drink Australian organic wine or low sulphate wine. I love Australian wines but am glad to try anything. I have happily tried wines from Argentina before and they have been some of the best wines I have ever had. It is not often a good idea to pick a wine based on the location where it is grown, you can be amazed at the quality of wines made in countries not known for wine production.
There are many sites where you can find wine recommendations to enable you to make the best choice in wine. Whether you prefer rose or sparkling wine, you can find the latest reviews online. I tend to read wine forums because you can then get almost instant opinions on the wine you are contemplating drinking.
