There are plenty of different drinks available in the shops that it is difficult to know what to get. One of the best ways to discover which the best value for money wines are is to read reviews. At least that way you will have some inclination of the kind of wine it is as well as the quality of the wine. Recommendations are really a great way of discovering great wines.

I would always drink cocktails and have a great Red Snapper #2 recipe which I used to mix. Even the most elaborate cocktails are actually easy to make. For instance, the Red Snapper #2 recipe uses these ingredients:

1 1/4 oz Crown Royal® Canadian whisky
1/2 oz amaretto almond liqueur
1 splash cranberry juice

Cocktails are a lot of fun to have at a party or at a cool bar but they sure can be expensive! Even during specials, you can often break the budget by having a couple of cocktails. So nowadays, more often than not I will drink rose wine or champagne. I have learnt which are the best organic wines available and know that drinking wine over cocktails generally means I get a tasty drink which is most probably better for me and with fewer calories.

Whenever possible I prefer to buy organic wines or low sulphate wine. I enjoy American wines but am glad to try anything. I have happily tried wines from Argentina before and they have been some of the best wines I have ever had. It is not always a good idea to pick a wine based on the country where it is produced, you can be shocked at the quality of wines grown in areas not known for wine production.

There are many websites where you can find wine recommendations to allow you to make the best choice in wine. Whether you prefer red or sparkling wine, you can find recent reviews online. I prefer to read wine forums because you can then get fairly instant comments on the wine you are considering buying.

If you are looking for more information on organic wines then check out Treehugger for help on how purchasing organic wine is less destructive for out planet. Wikipedia also has some good articles on organic farming and organic food and wine.
