There are many different alcoholic drinks available these days that it is not easy to know what to buy. One of the simplest ways to know which the best value for money wines are is to check out reviews. At least that way you will have some knowledge of the flavour of wine it is as well as the quality of the wine. Recommendations are really one of the best way of discovering great wines.

I would mostly drink cocktails and have a good Roadrunner Punch recipe which I used to make. Even the most detailed cocktails are actually easy to make. As an example, the Roadrunner Punch recipe consists of the following ingredients:

1 part Malibu® coconut rum
1 part Blue Curacao liqueur
1 part peach schnapps
fruit punch

Cocktails are a lot of fun to have at a party or at a cool bar but they sure are expensive! Even during happy hour, you can simply break the budget by consuming some cocktails. So nowadays, more often than not I will drink white wine or champagne. I have discovered which are the best organic wines available and know that drinking wine over cocktails means I get a great drink which is probably better for me and with fewer calories.

Whenever I can I prefer to drink Australian organic wine or preservative free wine. I adore French wines but am willing to try anything. I have happily tried wines from South Africa before and they have been some of the best wines I have ever had. It is not necessarily a good idea to pick a wine based on the region where it is produced, you can be surprised at the quality of wines produced in regions not known for wine production.

There are many places where you can find wine reviews to enable you to make the best choice in wine. Whether you prefer white or sparkling wine, you can find recent reviews online. I like to read wine forums because you can then get almost instant feedback on the wine you are considering purchasing.

If you are looking for more information on organic wines then check out Treehugger for details on how purchasing organic wine is less destructive for out planet. Wikipedia also has some good articles on organic growing and organic food and wine.
