There are many different alcoholic drinks available in the shops that it is not easy to know what to choose. One of the best ways to discover which the best quality wines are is to find reviews. At least that way you will have some idea of the flavour of wine it is as well as the quality of the wine. Others opinions are really the best way of choosing delicious wines.
I used to mostly drink cocktails and have a tasty Rose Water recipe which I used to mix. Even the most detailed cocktails are actually easy to make. As an example, the Rose Water recipe includes the following ingredients:
1/3 oz Campari® bitters
1 tsp grenadine syrup
6 oz lemonade
Cocktails are cool to have at a party or at a hip bar but they sure are very expensive! Even during happy hour, you can easily break your budget by drinking a few cocktails. So nowadays, more often than not I will stick to white wine or champagne. I have discovered which are the best organic wines available and accept that drinking wine over cocktails means I get a delicious drink which is most likely much healthier and with fewer calories.
Whenever possible I prefer to drink organic wines or preservative free wine. I adore French wines but am happy to try anything. I have happily tried wines from Argentina before and they have been some of the best wines I have ever had. It is not often a good idea to pick a wine based on the region where it is grown, you can be surprised at the quality of wines produced in areas not known for wine production.
There are many sites where you can find wine information to enable you to make a good choice in wine. Whether you prefer red or sparkling wine, you can find recent reviews online. I like to read wine blogs because you can then get immediate feedback on the wine you are considering purchasing.
If you are interested in organic wines then check out Treehugger for information on how choosing organic food is less destructive for soils. Wikipedia also has some good articles on organic farming and organic food and wine.
