There are so many different drinks available now that it is difficult to know what to choose. One of the easiest ways to know which the best value for money wines are is to find reviews. That means you will have some knowledge of the kind of wine it is as well as the quality of the wine. Others opinions are really a great way of discovering great wines.
I would often drink cocktails and have a good Royal Crown Royal recipe which I used to make. Even the most elaborate cocktails are actually easy to make. For instance, the Royal Crown Royal recipe includes only these ingredients:
1 shot Crown Royal® Canadian whisky
Royal Crown® cola
Cocktails are fun to have at a party or at a hip bar but they sure are expensive! Even during specials, you can often break your budget by drinking a couple of cocktails. So nowadays, more often than not I will stick to rose wine or champagne. I have discovered which are the best organic wines available and accept that drinking wine over cocktails means I get a tasty drink which is most probably much healthier and with fewer calories.
Whenever I have a choice I prefer to buy Australian organic wine or preservative free wine. I enjoy Australian wines but am happy to try anything. I have even tried wines from Argentina before and they have been some of the best wines I have ever had. It is not always a good idea to choose a wine based on the region where it is made, you can be amazed at the quality of wines grown in areas not known for wine production.
There are many sites where you can find wine reviews to help you make a reliable choice in wine. Whether you prefer white or sparkling wine, you can find the latest reviews online. I tend to read wine forums because you can then get immediate opinions on the wine you are contemplating drinking.
If you are thinking of trying organic wines then see Treehugger for details on how purchasing organic wine is less destructive for out planet. Wikipedia also has some good articles on organic farming and organic food and wine.
