A glass or two of wine from time to time is not only decompressing for plenty of people, it is also believed by many to have a number of health benefits. While not proven, consuming wine, and red wine in particular, is accepted to reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases, provide a certain level of cancer protection and can also significantly defer the signs of aging.
Sangiovese Wine in Southmayd
You could definitely say that I do not drink wine on a regular basis, I do devour a glass of Sangiovese wine occasionally, more often that not when I am at a night out with family. The last time I spent an evening in Southmayd was at Chaps Bar-B-Q & Catfish. From my experience that restaurant is a pretty cool place to eat a meal and drink a glass of Sangiovese wine. Surprisingly, you can possibly also do a bit of celebrity spotting there as someone told me that Courteney Cox once spent an evening there. I'm not sure if I believe it though.
While I'm thinking about well known celebrities, that reminds me of an old famous quote:
The instinct to command others, in its primitive essence, is a carnivorous, altogether bestial and savage instinct. Under the influence of the mental development of man, it takes on a somewhat more ideal form and becomes somewhat ennobled, presenting itself as the instrument of reason and the devoted servant of that abstraction, or political fiction, which is called the public good. But in its essence it remains just as baneful, and it becomes even more so when, with the application of science, it extends its scope and intensifies the power of its action. If there is a devil in history, it is this power principle.
Not that I have any clue who came up with that and not that I have any clue why I just suddenly thought of that but anyway...
Back to the wine, if you are hoping to have an amazing little glass of wine (or more) in Southmayd, try some Sangiovese wine, it's definitely worth the trouble.
