Shamrock recipe

There are plenty of different alcoholic drinks available in the shops that it is not easy to know what to get. One of the easiest ways to discover which the best value for money wines are is to find reviews. That means you will have some idea of the flavour of wine it is as well as the quality of the wine. Others opinions are really the best way of choosing great wines.

I used to mostly drink cocktails and have a great Shamrock recipe which I used to make. Even the most elaborate cocktails are actually easy to make. As an example, the Shamrock recipe consists of these ingredients:

1 1/2 oz Irish whiskey
1/2 oz dry vermouth
1 tsp green creme de menthe
1 olive

Cocktails are a lot of fun to have at a party or at a cool/trendy bar but they sure are very expensive! Even during discount times, you can easily break your budget by drinking a few cocktails. So now, more often than not I will drink rose wine or champagne. I have educated myself on the best organic wines available and believe that drinking wine over cocktails means I get a delicious drink which is probably much healthier and with fewer calories.

Whenever I have a choice I prefer to order Australian organic wine or no added preservative wine. I enjoy American wines but am happy to try anything. I have happily tried wines from South Africa before and they have been some of the best wines I have ever had. It is not often a good idea to judge a wine based on the country where it is produced, you can be surprised at the quality of wines produced in areas not known for wine production.

There are many sites where you can find wine reviews to help you make a good choice in wine. Whether you prefer red or sparkling wine, you can find recent reviews online. I prefer to read wine blogs because you can then get fairly instant comments on the wine you are considering drinking.

If you have a favourite wine which you enjoy to drink then spread the word by leaving us a brief comment or if you have any questions such as how to choose a good wine or anything about wine then ask us now!
