There are many different drinks available these days that it is confusing to know what to choose. One of the simplest ways to find out which the best value for money wines are is to read reviews. At least that way you will have some knowledge of the flavour of wine it is as well as the quality of the wine. Reviews are really a great way of finding delicious wines.
I would often drink cocktails and have a great Southside recipe which I used to mix. Even the most elaborate cocktails are actually easy to make. For example, the Southside recipe uses these ingredients:
2 oz gin
1 oz simple syrup
3/4 oz fresh lime juice
3 - 4 oz soda water
2 mint sprigs
2 pieces limes
Cocktails are fun to have at a party or at a trendy bar but they sure can be expensive! Even during specials, you can often break the budget by consuming a couple of cocktails. So now, more often than not I will stick to red wine or champagne. I have educated myself on the best organic wines available and accept that drinking wine over cocktails means I get a delicious drink which is probably healthier and with fewer calories.
Whenever I can I prefer to order Australian organic wine or no added preservative wine. I adore French wines but am willing to try anything. I have also tried wines from South Africa before and they have been some of the best wines I have ever had. It is not always a good idea to choose a wine based on the country where it is produced, you can be amazed at the quality of wines grown in areas not known for wine production.
There are many sites where you can find wine reviews to allow you to make a reliable choice in wine. Whether you prefer white or sparkling wine, you can find recent reviews online. I tend to read wine social media sites because you can then get fairly instant comments on the wine you are thinking of purchasing.
