There are many different drinks available in the shops that it is not easy to know what to get. One of the simplest ways to know which the best value for money wines are is to check out reviews. That means you will have some knowledge of the kind of wine it is as well as the quality of the wine. Reviews are really one of the best way of discovering great wines.
I would mostly drink cocktails and have a good Strawberry Splash recipe which I used to make up. Even the most detailed cocktails are actually easy to make. For example, the Strawberry Splash recipe includes the following ingredients:
1 oz Smirnoff® Vanilla Twist vodka
2 oz strawberry crush
Cocktails are fun to have at a party or at a hip bar but they sure can be expensive! Even during happy hour, you can simply break your budget by having a couple of cocktails. So these days, more often than not I will drink red wine or champagne. I have learnt which are the best organic wines available and accept that drinking wine over cocktails means I get a tasty drink which is most probably healthier and with fewer calories.
Whenever I can I prefer to buy Australian organic wine or preservative free wine. I enjoy Australian wines but am happy to try anything. I have happily tried wines from South Africa before and they have been some of the best wines I have ever had. It is not always a good idea to pick a wine based on the region where it is made, you can be surprised at the quality of wines grown in areas not known for wine production.
There are many places where you can find wine information to enable you to make a good choice in wine. Whether you prefer red or sparkling wine, you can find many reviews online. I tend to read wine blogs because you can then get immediate feedback on the wine you are contemplating purchasing.
