There are many different drinks available now that it is difficult to know what to get. One of the easiest ways to find out which the best wines are is to read reviews. At least that way you will have some inclination of the type of wine it is as well as the quality of the wine. Others opinions are really a great way of choosing great wines.
I would always drink cocktails and have a good The Jolly Rancher recipe which I used to make. Even the most elaborate cocktails are actually easy to make. As an example, the The Jolly Rancher recipe uses these ingredients:
2 oz vodka
1 oz Midori® melon liqueur
fill with cranberry juice
Cocktails are fun to have at a party or at a trendy bar but they sure are expensive! Even during happy hour, you can often break the budget by consuming a few cocktails. So these days, more often than not I will drink red wine or champagne. I have learnt which are the best organic wines available and accept that drinking wine over cocktails generally means I get a great drink which is most probably healthier and with fewer calories.
Whenever possible I prefer to order Australian organic wine or no added preservative wine. I love French wines but am happy to try anything. I have even tried wines from Argentina before and they have been some of the best wines I have ever had. It is not necessarily a good idea to pick a wine based on the region where it is made, you can be shocked at the quality of wines made in regions not known for wine production.
There are many sites where you can find wine reviews to allow you to make a reliable choice in wine. Whether you prefer red or sparkling wine, you can find the latest reviews online. I prefer to read wine forums because you can then get immediate opinions on the wine you are considering drinking.
