There are many different beverages available in the shops that it is difficult to know what to buy. One of the simplest ways to discover which the best value for money wines are is to read reviews. That way you will have some knowledge of the type of wine it is as well as the quality of the wine. Recommendations are really one of the best way of choosing excellent wines.
I would always drink cocktails and have a good Troutie recipe which I used to make up. Even the most elaborate cocktails are actually easy to make. For example, the Troutie recipe includes only these ingredients:
2 oz Absolut® Mandrin vodka
1 - 2 oz grapefruit juice
7-Up® soda
Cocktails are a lot of fun to have at a party or at a hip bar but they sure can be expensive! Even during specials, you can easily break your budget by drinking a couple of cocktails. So nowadays, more often than not I will choose rose wine or champagne. I have learnt which are the best organic wines available and know that drinking wine over cocktails means I get a great drink which is probably better for me and with fewer calories.
Whenever I have a choice I prefer to buy Australian organic wine or low sulphate wine. I enjoy Australian wines but am glad to try anything. I have even tried wines from Argentina before and they have been some of the best wines I have ever had. It is not necessarily a good idea to choose a wine based on the region where it is produced, you can be surprised at the quality of wines made in regions not known for wine production.
There are many sites where you can find wine information to help you make a good choice in wine. Whether you prefer white or sparkling wine, you can find many reviews online. I prefer to read wine forums because you can then get almost instant comments on the wine you are considering buying.
