The odd glass of wine now and then is not only unwinding for a number of people, it is also accepted to have great health benefits. While not proven, drinking wine, and red wine in particular, is widely accepted to reduce the risk of cardiovascular diseases, provide a level of cancer protection and may also somewhat reduce the signs of aging.

Turkish Wine in Assumption

Even though it's true that I don't drink alcohol on a fairly regular basis, I do relish in a glass of Turkish wine from time to time, usually when I am spending dinner with my closest friends. The last time I headed out for dinner in Assumption was at Churches Fried Chicken. I believe that restaurant is a good place to eat and drink a glass of Turkish wine. As an aside, you may be able to also do a bit of celebrity spotting there as they say that Claudia Schiffer once went there. However I'm not sure if that's true.

Speaking about well known people, that reminds me of this not so famous line:

Wide-sounding Zeus takes away half a man's worth on the day when slavery comes upon him.

I admit I don't know who wrote that and I don't have a clue why I just now remembered that but whatever...

Let's get back to the wine so, if you are hoping to have a nice glass of wine (or two) in Assumption, try some Turkish wine, it's really tasty.
