There are plenty of different alcoholic drinks available these days that it is confusing to know what to choose. One of the easiest ways to discover which the best quality wines are is to read reviews. That way you will have some inclination of the type of wine it is as well as the quality of the wine. Reviews are really one of the best way of choosing delicious wines.

I did often drink cocktails and have a great Wedding Bell Punch recipe which I used to make up. Even the most elaborate cocktails are actually easy to make. For instance, the Wedding Bell Punch recipe uses only these ingredients:

2 liters dry red wine
16 oz bourbon whiskey
12 oz anejo rum
8 oz sweet vermouth
4 oz creme de cacao
187 ml chilled Champagne
16 oz club soda
16 oz ginger ale
2 cups lemon juice
1 cup superfine sugar
2 pints hulled, quartered strawberries
2 sliced oranges

Cocktails are fun to have at a party or at a cool bar but they sure are expensive! Even during specials, you can simply break your budget by consuming a few cocktails. So nowadays, more often than not I will stick to rose wine or champagne. I have learnt which are the best organic wines available and know that drinking wine over cocktails generally means I get a great drink which is most probably much healthier and with fewer calories.

Whenever I have a choice I prefer to buy organic wine or preservative free wine. I adore American wines but am willing to try anything. I have happily tried wines from Italy before and they have been some of the best wines I have ever had. It is not often a good idea to pick a wine based on the region where it is produced, you can be surprised at the quality of wines grown in areas not known for wine production.

There are many places where you can find wine reviews to allow you to make the best choice in wine. Whether you prefer rose or sparkling wine, you can find recent reviews online. I tend to read wine forums because you can then get fairly instant feedback on the wine you are considering buying.

If you are thinking of trying organic wines then visit Treehugger for details on how choosing organic wine is less harmful for the environment. Wikipedia also has some good articles on organic growing and organic food and wine.
