There are so many different drinks available in the shops that it is not easy to know what to buy. One of the best ways to know which the best value for money wines are is to read reviews. That means you will have some knowledge of the kind of wine it is as well as the quality of the wine. Reviews are really one of the best way of finding excellent wines.
I used to always drink cocktails and have a great Whiskey Swizzle recipe which I used to mix. Even the most elaborate cocktails are actually easy to make. For instance, the Whiskey Swizzle recipe consists of only these ingredients:
2 oz blended whiskey
1 dash bitters
1 1/2 oz lime juice
1 tsp superfine sugar
3 oz club soda
Cocktails are a lot of fun to have at a party or at a trendy bar but they sure are very expensive! Even during happy hour, you can simply break your budget by having some cocktails. So these days, more often than not I will stick to red wine or champagne. I have discovered which are the best organic wines available and believe that drinking wine over cocktails generally means I get a delicious drink which is most probably much healthier and with fewer calories.
Whenever I can I prefer to order organic wine or low sulphate wine. I enjoy Australian wines but am glad to try anything. I have happily tried wines from South Africa before and they have been some of the best wines I have ever had. It is not necessarily a good idea to judge a wine based on the country where it is grown, you can be shocked at the quality of wines made in regions not known for wine production.
There are many websites where you can find wine information to enable you to make a reliable choice in wine. Whether you prefer red or sparkling wine, you can find the latest reviews online. I tend to read wine forums because you can then get fairly instant opinions on the wine you are considering purchasing.
