There are so many different alcoholic drinks available these days that it is difficult to know what to buy. One of the easiest ways to find out which the best value for money wines are is to read reviews. That means you will have some inclination of the flavour of wine it is as well as the quality of the wine. Reviews are really the best way of finding delicious wines.
I would mostly drink cocktails and have a great Woodpecker recipe which I used to mix. Even the most seemingly difficult cocktails are actually easy to make. For instance, the Woodpecker recipe consists of the following ingredients:
2 oz vodka
15 dashes Peychaud® bitters
Cocktails are fun to have at a party or at a cool bar but they sure are very expensive! Even during happy hour, you can easily break the budget by drinking a few cocktails. So now, more often than not I will choose white wine or champagne. I have learnt which are the best organic wines available and accept that drinking wine over cocktails will mean I get a tasty drink which is most likely much healthier and with fewer calories.
Whenever I have a choice I prefer to buy organic wine or low sulphate wine. I adore French wines but am happy to try anything. I have happily tried wines from Argentina before and they have been some of the best wines I have ever had. It is not always a good idea to judge a wine based on the location where it is grown, you can be shocked at the quality of wines produced in countries not known for wine production.
There are many places where you can find wine information to allow you to make a good choice in wine. Whether you prefer white or sparkling wine, you can find the latest reviews online. I like to read wine blogs because you can then get fairly instant opinions on the wine you are contemplating drinking.
If you are thinking of trying organic wines then visit Treehugger for help on how choosing organic wine is less damaging for the environment. Wikipedia also has some great articles on organic farms and organic food and wine.
